I was selected to show at the Cardiff design Festival 'Expose 09'. It's an exhibition which showcases the some of the years graduates from, or in my case, who studied in Wales. So that was quite an honour! Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the exhibition, but I got my tutor to take a few sneaky photos for me!

Check me out on flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/annaoneill/ and on Every Creative at where I am currently being featured as a Designer of the Month. Woo Hoo!!!

My final year project was based on origami. Traditionally it is a paper art but being a textiles student I was really interested in getting those shapes and structures into fabric. Eventually i acomplished this through a mix of stiffening, folding and sewing. I also wanted to look at some traditional origami shapes and create something new out of them...
So I've left college, got my official piece of paper and now I've been sent out into the big bad world to fend for myself! So I thought after putting in all that hard work over the last three years I might as well try to share it with the world. And so is the reason for my entry into the sleep depraved world of the blogger! I figure the easiest thing to do is to start at the present and work backwards, so here are a few snaps of my final year work. The fruits of many an hour of folding, sewing, printing, graphing, more folding and occasional sleeping. I hope you will enjoy!!
